Friday, the 8th of May 2009, will be a date to remember in the annals of time. It marked a unique turning point in the advancement of God’s kingdom on the earth. Indeed, in the words of one of the participants in the epoch making programme “Pastor Chris Online”, it was the beginning of the series of events that will hasten the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. For the first time in the Ministry, and indeed in the world of Christian Evangelism, we witnessed the harnessing of technology to aid World Evangelism in real-time. It was a celebration of God’s Word, testimonies, worship, miracles and prophecies.

This singular event triggered the desire to write this article, focusing on the impact the internet has and will play in World Evangelism. The article will seek to identify various tools available online that can be used to reach the unreached. The internet has become a platform on which we can share the message of Salvation for mankind as made available in Christ Jesus.

The existence of such tools like Forums, Online Chat clients, Social Networking sites and status update services like Twitter are primarily designed to build a cyber community of users who are willing to receive the message that we offer. Many are turning to the internet for information and that’s what we have, not just information but relevant information that will transform them.

The healing school online community has created a platform for users to interact and become attuned to the healing school and its activities. This was made evident by the success of the first ever live audio streaming of the healing school service with Pastor Chris. More so, users had the opportunity to use such online tools as the Blog, Forums, Groups, Message Boards, Chat etc to communicate and reach other users of the site. With the success of this project, the possibilities are endless. In the next article posting, we will analyse each of these online tools and how you can take advantage of them to reach your world.
